On top of that, some ore will be at the bottom of the sea, which is a good distance to dive. The downside to this zone is the fact that the ore is so spread out from one another. Links will take you to maps on my website. My miner is a Horde druid for faster in-and-out flight.

You should still expect several hours of work to net 200+ ore, but there's no way around this, other than paying outrageous AH prices. This routing map (not my own work) gives you the general idea of your loop, though I'd advise people to cut out the portion over Coldarra because it's A) a hassle to get up to, and B) has inconsistent spawns. As a farmer (or someone, like me, who is attempting to grind through engineering for what feels like the thousandth time), your objective is clear: you want to minimize the amount of 'dead zone' you're covering on any route.Īfter trial-and-error, I can say without reserve that on heavily populated servers, Borean Tundra is the best place to grind this one out. Similarly, both Dragonblight and Grizzly Hills have wide areas that you'll need to fly over (on any routing) that just don't have veins. Shrikearghast의 댓글Simply put, Howling Fjord is a nonstarter for this grind - it's over-farmed, and the node placement in certain areas is all over the place. (I just made 3 more runs, I got 316 ore this time, so the amount is consistant, I was there at around 4pm servertime, weekday.) I hope this helped ppl farming, if you got some hope from this please mark it up so others can see it. So to sum up, I don't think it's that bad really, it's not thorium ore in Ungoro but it's not bad. I didn't miss even one node on this map (except underwater nodes), it took about 35-40 minutes to do 3 clean sweeps in the time I also killed 3 rares which was nice :D (I farmed at about 10am servertime weekday) I also googled quick "Mining 1-525 guide" this gave me a quick map of the Howling Fjord. I used this instead of Gatherer because gatherer doesn't by default come with a database and the one they do supply is way way out of date. I used this addon to help me - GatherMate2 & the GatherMate2 database both downloaded from Curse. Subby의 댓글I have read here that since Cata was released that Cobalt Ore was becoming harder to find, I was lvling Engineering and Blacksmithing so I was not happy to hear this.
